Who should audition
This Chamber Orchestra is for students who want to play more advanced repertoire in a smaller orchestra setting. Usually these students have a number of years of experience playing in an orchestra, studying privately, and are often intending to become professional musicians.
This year we the orchestra is a chamber orchestra: 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons, 2 Horns, 1 Trumpet, 1 Harp, 1 Keyboard Player, Strings.
Current Chamber Orchestra members are exempt from auditions this year.

What to prepare
One selection of your choice, preferably a concerto
AND
2 scales of your choice: 1 major and 1 minor, in 2 or 3 octaves
AND
2 scales of your choice: 1 major and 1 minor, in 2 or 3 octaves

Auditions can be submitted to the office by sending a link to an unlisted YouTube video or a video file directly. Live auditions by request.

Costs
CYSO tours are built to cost, and prices cannot be guaranteed to be the same from year to year. The advertised price is usually higher than the final price, and should be understood to be a projected "price cap".
The CYSO does not profit from the tours, and when possible, remaining funds are reimbursed to families.
